It has been satisfying to "give back" something to the country which contributed a lot to my present position in medical profession.

More over, it is the plight of the patients and parents who whole heartedly appreciated the effort of the helping hands! There is a lot we could do to help these patients. The gratitude I have seen in their eyes was treasure worth storing for a life time.

My trip to Malaysia reminded me of the difficult and challenging problems physicians have to face in developing countries due to late presentations of pediatric cardiac disease. Can we do anything to improve this scenario?
